Frequently asked questions

What is mimetre?

mimetre is a tool for restaurants that turns your paper menu into a digital menu in minutes. You scan your dishes with a photo, AI detects names, prices and allergens, and you publish a menu you can edit live and share via QR code. It also generates posts for your social media.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. mimetre is in alpha and free for the restaurants that join now: no credit card, no commitment, no fine print. In return, all we'll ask for is feedback to improve the product.

Do I need to change my website or my POS?

No. mimetre works on its own: you create your menu, get a link and a QR code, and share them wherever you like — on the table, in the window or on social media. It doesn't touch anything you already use.

How does the menu scanner work?

You take a photo of your menu — good old paper works, and so does the daily specials board or a handwritten note — and AI extracts every dish with its price and description. Before publishing, you review and adjust whatever you want: nothing goes live without your OK.

What about allergens?

mimetre works with the 14 allergens that must be declared in the EU (gluten, dairy, crustaceans…). The scanner suggests them and you confirm them dish by dish, so your menu stays compliant and your customers can eat with peace of mind.

How do I join the alpha?

Leave us your email in the form and we'll let you know when your spot is ready. We're opening access on a first-come, first-served basis so we can look after every restaurant that joins.
